In People of Note, you enter the world of Note, which is a continent divided into nations according to musical styles. You are a singer named Cadence who forms a band when she is rejected by a contest named Noteworthy. On the way, you will enlist Fret, Synthia, and Vox to become members of your party.

The Stanza Combat System

The Stanza system is the primary mechanic used in battle. There is a bar at the bottom of your screen that indicates the turn order and the type of music playing. Although they have their own style, each of the characters can share some Songstones such as healing moves. This will be able to make you flexible with your team. Fret is a major character who has a fleshed out background, whereas others such as Synthia have their backgrounds revealed as you get to know them. Another thing to watch out is the Mashup meter, which fills when your characters are hit. These moves can be used at the right moment to get a boost to the entire team until the turn is over.
