Here’s a guide to navigating the map in Pioner.
Game Guide by Ragib Rawnak on Dec 25, 2025
This guide explains how to use the map in Pioner and what information it provides. Understanding the map helps you identify available activities, plan routes, and choose between PvE and PvP content as you progress.
The Regions
The game world, known as Tartarus, is an open island divided into multiple regions. Each region supports different activities and progression paths.

As you move across the island, you decide how much exposure you want to PvE encounters, PvP encounters, and environmental hazards. The map supports exploration, mission tracking, and area awareness in Pioner.
Using the In-Game Map
When you open the in-game map, you can see how locations are arranged and what type of content exists in each area. The map includes a legend with markers that explain what you will find at specific points. These markers help you decide where to go and what to expect before traveling.
Map Markers Explained
Camp or Roadblock locations provide shelter, traders, or mission objectives. These areas may also act as barriers or points of control in Pioner.
Peaceful Camp areas allow you to rest, resupply, and interact with NPCs or other players without combat.
Hideaways are locations that offer rewards or discoveries but are not shown directly on the main map.

Anomaly Area zones contain environmental effects and hostile elements linked to anomalies.
Dangerous Area markers indicate zones with more vigorous opposition, anomaly presence, and possible PvP activity.
Fast Travel Area points allow movement between unlocked locations, reducing travel time.
Tracked Quest markers show mission objectives and guide you toward your next task.
PvE and PvP Map Division
The global map is split into two main sections, making it clear when you enter PvP-enabled zones in Pioner.
The left side of Tartarus is dedicated to PvE content. This area does not include PvP and functions as the starting region where death does not result in significant losses.
The right side of the map supports PvP content and includes higher-risk encounters, more formidable AI enemies, and access to advanced loot sources.

Regions and Settlements
Some regions, such as the Midlands, cover extensive portions of the island and support exploration and mission activity.
In the Midlands, the city of Tsemnegorsk is located in the south and serves as a significant settlement. This location reflects a later stage of progression and features complex layouts and systems tied to advanced gameplay in Pioner.
