Here’s everything you need to know about all safe and locker codes in Resident Evil 3.

Game Guide by Ornstein on  Feb 07, 2025

Survival in Resident Evil 3 Remake takes any edge gained, most notably in stricter environments. As you make your way through the game, a series of locked safes and lockers with beneficial upgrades and items in them will be encountered.

Where a code can be discovered through file analysis and contextual cues, not knowing them will mean the loss of beneficial goods. In this walkthrough, each safe and each of the lockers in the game is documented with its location, its codes, and its reward.

Downtown: Safe in the Art Storage Room

The first safe encountered is in the Art Storage Room, accessible through a staircase to your right in the Donut Shop. The safe's combination is mentioned in the Drugstore, with a sign in the rear with Aqua Cure Queen signage and with its combination printed out.

Missing out on this tip, your alternative is simply to enter: Left 9, Right 3, Left 7. Opening this safe will reward a Red Dot Sight Upgrade for your handgun, providing accuracy and target lock.

Raccoon City Police Department: West Office Safe

The safe, seen in Resident Evil 2 Remake, is in the West Office of the RPD. Find its combination in the Darkroom, near a staircase to the upper floors, in an Internal Memo file.

If you do not want to search for it, its codes can simply be entered: Left 9, Right 15, Left 7. Opening this safe will reward a Hip Pouch, providing room in your inventory—vital when storing your goods.

Spencer Memorial Hospital: Nurses' Station Safe

While playing as Carlos, you will have access to a safe in Spencer Memorial Hospital's Nurses' Station. This safe must be opened during Carlos' segment of the game, or the contents will be stolen if Jill returns later.

The combination is discovered in the RE: Lost Items file, which can only be retrieved after recovering the Locker Room Key from the Courtyard and using it to enter the Locker Room, where you will find an ID Card required to open the Operating Room.

If you want to bypass the hunt, the code is Left 9, Right 3. Unlocking this safe gives Carlos the Assault Rifle Dual Mag upgrade, which allows for faster reloads and increased combat efficiency.

Raccoon City Police Department: Dial Lockers

The RPD contains two dial-locked lockers that also appear in Resident Evil 2 Remake. These lockers do not contain weapon upgrades, but the goods within are still useful.

Locker located on the Third Floor

This locker is located in the hallway behind the Shower Room on the third floor of the RPD. The combination is displayed on a photo inside the Safety Deposit Room; however, if you want to open it right now, the code is DCM. Unlocking it grants access to Assault Rifle ammunition, which can be useful in tight situations.

Shower Room Locker

The second dial locker is located inside the shower room. This code, unlike others, is scribbled on a whiteboard in the Operations Room rather than stored in a file. The combination is CAP, and opening it gives you a Flash Grenade, which you can use to stun adversaries and escape difficult battles.

Finally…

Knowing these lock and safe codes beforehand will allow you to use your assets to the fullest and not have to go backward and miss out on important upgrades. Certain codes can actually be unlocked in-game through searching.

However, with this walkthrough, your best gear will be at your disposal in record time. Max out your weapon and Hip Pouch upgrades first in a position to use your capacity and gear to its fullest, and your survival in Raccoon City will have a fighting chance.
