The Séance of Blake Manor Guide | Investigating Hazel Erickson

In this part of The Séance of Blake Manor, your aim is to investigate Missus Erickson and uncover the intent behind her actions. You will search her room, review documents, gather testimony, and form a hypothesis based on the collected evidence. Follow the steps below to progress through this segment of Day Two.

Entering Room 19

After listening in on the conversation, walk past Master Ó Finn and continue east until you locate Room 19. Enter the room to begin searching through Missus Erickson’s belongings. She will not return until breakfast ends, allowing you to investigate without interruption.

To move efficiently, check the following areas:

Search the nightstand to the left of the bed to find the H.O.G.D Book. Inspect the shoes beside it. Move to the dressing table in the northeast corner and review the Syringe, followed by the books placed on the table.

Searching The Rest Of The Room

Next, examine the Chest of Drawers in the northwest area of the room. Open it and inspect the notebook on the left side to uncover Missus Erickson’s Schedule. Then check the fireplace on the west wall to locate Burned Paper. Look at the Attendee’s List positioned on a table west of the fireplace.

In the southwest corner, open the Lockbox using the combination HOGD.

Inside the lockbox, review the Collection of Notes. On the left page, inspect the triangle and the heart symbols. On the right page, examine the circle, the candles, and the red lines at the bottom.

Preparing To Stop Hazel

Find Mister Toussaint and choose “Discuss Evidence,” then select Ritual Pages followed by List of Names. Ask about the Timetable to receive his schedule.

Return to Master Ó Finn’s location or use the stairs east of the Atrium’s second floor to reach the ground level. Here, you will find Missus Erickson standing near Mister Varley.

Analyze Missus Erickson by focusing on the crest on her necklace, the bands on her jewellery, and her hands.

Forming The Hypothesis

Speak to Missus Erickson again. You can now create a hypothesis based on your findings. The structure is:

“Hazel Erickson’s goal is to (consume) the (heart) of (Evelyn Deane) to (steal) her (magical abilities).”

Confront her once this is complete. Afterward, talk to Mister Toussaint and discuss “Confession: Missus Erickson Is A Fraud.” He will hand over his notes and inform you that he will not participate in the séance.

Investigating Miss Deane’s Journal

Missus Joyce will contact you regarding a package containing Miss Deane’s Journal. Examine the following parts of the journal:

The dates located in the northwest, southwest, and northeast

The symbols on the left page

The large symbol on the right page

The torn pages in the center

When you finish reviewing the journal, return to Missus Erickson and select “Discuss Evidence” followed by Notes On Missus Erickson. This action prevents her from joining the séance.

Mapping And Further Tasks

Before continuing with any objectives, open your map and head to the northeast section of the Atrium or north of Master Ó Finn. There is a Room Plan illustration that updates your First Floor map, giving you clearer navigation for this area.

Speaking with Master Ó Finn and asking about his timetable through Documents > Timetable is recommended. You may also analyze him afterward if you choose.
