Sniper Elite: Resistance | How To Unlock The M1907 SMG

To unlock the M1907 SMG in Sniper Elite Resistance, you need to complete the kill list challenge tied to Claude Luron. You’ll find him during the third mission of the game. This challenge requires you to take him out using cargo, and fortunately, it’s one of the easiest kill list objectives you’ll come across. With the right setup and a little patience, you’ll be able to pull it off smoothly and unlock the weapon without any major complications.

The Kill List Challenge: Death by Cargo

Your objective is to eliminate Claude Luron using cargo. To do this, you need to head to the dock area where he patrols. If you haven’t played this mission before, you’ll spawn at the lower part of the map and work your way across the bridge, then down the road to the dock area.

However, if you’ve unlocked the spawn point beneath the bridge, you can start much closer to your objective. This will save you time and allow you to set up more efficiently.

Before you start, consider setting the difficulty to the easiest setting. Doing this means enemies won’t be able to spot you easily, and it won’t affect your ability to complete the challenge. Claude will be wandering around the docks, generally just minding his own business.

Waiting for the Perfect Moment

Once you’ve located Claude Luron, your job is to wait. This is very much a patience-based challenge. You’ll notice a couple of gantry cranes in the dock area—these are key to completing the kill. If you’re on easy mode, they will highlight red when targeted, making them easier to identify.

The trick is to wait until Claude wanders directly beneath one of these cranes. This part can take a few minutes, depending on his patrol route, so you’ll want to keep a close watch and be ready. Eventually, he’ll walk under one of the cranes, and that’s your moment.

Executing the Kill

When Claude is underneath the crane, take the shot. Fire at the crane mechanism and drop the cargo directly onto him. If timed correctly, the kill will be clean and immediate. The challenge will register as complete, and you’ll unlock the M1907 SMG as your reward.

It’s one of the easier challenges in the game once you understand what to do, and it requires very little combat or movement—just observation and patience.
