In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster, you can persuade NPCS and make them like you to level your Speechcraft skill through a mini-game.

Starting the Persuasion Mini Game

Start the mini-game by starting a conversation with a random NPC. You'll see the persuade option in the lower-left corner of the screen.

Three choices will be available to you before you go into the mini-game. You can choose "never mind" and go away, or you can bribe them into liking you with gold, which varies based on who they are, and you also have the option to start the mini-game in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

Understanding the Mini Game

In the mini-game, you will have four options: Admire, Boost, Joke, and Coerce. There is a number in the middle that decreases while you wait, so you must make your choice quickly.

Look at the character's face and see what they like or dislike. It doesn't matter if you leave and come back later. The higher the number of bars, the stronger the effect will be on the NPC. Do what they want when there are more bars and do what they dislike when there are fewer bars.

The wheel turns immediately after every choice. If there are three bars in Coerce and they prefer it more, select it. If Joke, which they don't like, has a single bar, play it second so that you don't lose that many points.

Continue pairing good moves with high bars and bad moves with low bars. Continue doing so until you get the best outcome in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

Bribing the NPC

If you max a character's disposition in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, it will tell you so. You can bribe them to get it up a notch higher. Certain characters will open up new dialogue options, but most won't, such as random guards.

Every time you complete the mini-game, Speechcraft will gain levels. You may not realize that it has leveled up, but consistently playing it with different NCS will earn you Speechcraft levels in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
