The I Quit Match in WWE 2K26 feels different from a normal submission match. You cannot win just by making an opponent tap out. You have to make them say the words. This means you need to wear them down and use a special mini-game to win. If you learn how the system works, these matches become a lot easier to handle.

Starting the Mini-Game
To win, you must get your opponent to say "I Quit" before you do. You trigger the mini-game by pressing down on the Right Thumbstick when your opponent is on the ground. This usually works best after you hit a Heavy Grapple. A circle will appear on your screen with green parts that move. If you are defending, you have to press A, X, or B when the line hits the green sections. This fills a meter in the middle. If the meter stays empty because the defender misses the green spots, they lose the match. You can also start this mini-game automatically just by putting someone in a Submission Hold.
Using Blockers to Your Advantage
Blockers are a tool you only find in this match type. You can have up to four of them. When you are on the attack, you press L1 or R1 during the mini-game to lock the green sections. This makes it much harder for your opponent to fill their meter. You earn Blockers by doing big moves. Submission Finishers, Super Finishers, and putting people through the Announce Table all give you Blockers. The fastest way to get one is to grab a Kendo Stick from under the ring. If you use a Weapon Submission with the Kendo Stick, you get your first Blocker very quickly. It is best to use these when your opponent has body parts highlighted in red.

Strategies for Victory
You should focus on hurting specific limbs. If your opponent has red damage on their head or legs, the mini-game gets harder for them. Use weapons as much as you can. Hit them with Chairs, use Tables, and do Weapon Submissions. You should also try to use Submission Holds over and over. Even if they do not quit right away, it makes them tired and more likely to make a mistake in the mini-game. If you are the one defending, look for a small Gold Sliver in the green area. If you time your button press on that gold spot, you win the mini-game instantly and escape.
Key Differences and Move Choices
This mode is not like a standard submission match. In those matches, you just hold a button to make them tap. Here, the opponent has to fail the mini-game completely. Blockers and the Gold Sliver escape do not exist in other match types. Because of this, Weapon Submissions with a Kendo Stick are the most valuable moves you have. Submission Finishers and Announce Table Finishers are also great for building up your resources. Even regular Submissions are good because they force the opponent to play the mini-game five or six times, which wears them down.

Preparation for the Ring
Before you start, make sure you go under the ring and get a Kendo Stick right away. Keep hitting the same limbs so the mini-game stays difficult. Do not waste your Blockers early in the match when the opponent is still fresh. Save them for the end when their limbs are red. If you find yourself losing, stay calm and hunt for that Gold Sliver to get out of trouble. It helps to practice the timing on lower difficulty settings before you try a big match. Staying on the attack is the best way to make sure you do not end up in the mini-game yourself.
