Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is among the largest DLC expansions in gaming. Out of the vast amount of content that was added with the DLC, there are 45 new armor to pick from. From an armor set that seems heavily inspired by Sauron from Lord of the Rings to another, that looks like the very set worn by Guts from Berserk, there are plenty of new sets that are inspired by franchises we love. We’ve rounded up the coolest-looking armor sets that also provide good stats found only in the Land of Shadow.

 

Horned Warrior Set

 

The Horned Warrior Set is perfect for strength builds, providing a substantial +5 boost to your strength stat from the helmet. This helmet can be a game-changer early on, giving you the extra power needed to wield heavier weapons and deal more damage to enemies. It complements any build focusing on melee combat and strength scaling weapons.

Where to find: Farm horned warriors found in the DLC.

 

Rellana’s Set

 

Rellana’s set is this beautiful female knight set that comes with a little azure cape. Offering high damage negation and poise for very little weight, this armor set is seriously worth considering, especially since the base game as lacked female armor for quite some time.

Where to find: Defeat Rellana, Twin Moon Knight and buy the armor pieces from Enia of the Roundtable Hold.

 

Solitude Set

 

This one’s for the Berserk fans! It is well known that many of the games by FromSoftware draw strong inspiration from the legendary Berserk series. The Solitude Set is yet another proof of that. It is a heavyweight set that provides excellent poise, allowing you to withstand enemy attacks without being staggered. This set is perfect for players who want to tank through hits while dealing heavy damage with a greatsword. It’s dark, paladin-like appearance that looks almost exactly like what Guts brandishes in the Berserk manga makes it an aesthetically badass choice for those who like to look as powerful as they feel in battle.

Where to find: Defeat the Blackgaol Knight who is found inside Western Nameless Mausoleum.

 

Verdigris Set

 

Verdigris Set offers the highest defense and poise in the game, making it the go-to choice for players prioritizing survivability. Its superior defense stats allow you to endure prolonged battles and heavy hits from the toughest enemies. The armor’s design is both intimidating and regal, appealing to those who want both functionality and style.

Where to find: Complete Moore’s questline to get this armor.

 

Night Set

 

The Night set exudes a dark, menacing aura reminiscent of Sauron from The Lord of the Rings. While it may lack a cape, its design is still incredibly cool and fearsome. This set is ideal for players who want to take the role of Sauron while maintaining solid defense and versatility in combat.

Where to find: At the topmost level in Bonny Gaol, which you can get to buy using the jar lift twice.

 

Fire Knight’s Set

 

The Fire Knight Armor stands out with its bonuses to max HP, stamina, and equip load, making it a versatile set for various builds. Its design is also badass, with flames adorning the armor, symbolizing power and resilience. This set is particularly beneficial for players who want to maximize their survivability and stamina in long, drawn-out fights.

Where to find: Farm fire knights found in Shadowkeep.

 

Death Knight Set

 

The Death Knight set empowers the skills and incantations of the Capital Ancient Dragon Cult, making it perfect for magic-based builds focusing on Dragon Cult spells. The additional damage to these incantations can significantly boost your offensive capabilities, allowing you to unleash devastating lightning spells and other powerful incantations with increased potency. Plus, the golden knight of death look is absolutely stunning. This armor set is one of my personal favorites.

Where to find: In Darklight Catacombs, on a Death Knight corpse.

 

Rakshasa Set

 

The Rakshasa set is designed for players who thrive on high-risk, high-reward gameplay. Each piece of this set increases your damage output but also makes you more vulnerable to incoming attacks. This armor is perfect for aggressive players who want to maximize their offensive power, using the increased damage to kill them before they kill you.

Where to find: Defeat Rakshasa who is found in Eastern Nameless Mausoleum.

 

Red Bear Set

 

The Red Bear Set includes a unique pelt that buffs Bear Communion incantations, adding a thematic touch to your character. This set is perfect for players who utilize these specific incantations, providing both aesthetic appeal and functional bonuses. The armor’s rugged design, combined with its powerful buffs, makes it a favorite for those who enjoy a wild, untamed look and playstyle.

Where to find: Defeat Red Bear in the Northern Nameless Mausoleum.

 

Gravebird’s Blackquil Set

 

A hunter must hunt. The Gravebird’s Blackquil Set is eerily similar to the armor set of Eileen the Crow from Bloodborne, a beloved character from the nightmarish game. It comes with a jump attack damage bonus. This set is ideal for players who enjoy dynamic, aerial combat styles or those who love Eileen!

Where to find: Find the helm in Spiral Rise spire, elevator halfway down (jump off onto altar). Find the chest in Temple Town Ruins, north past Red Pests, stay left uphill (near gravebird statues). Find the bracelets South of Pillar Path Waypoint, from a corpse near altar corner. Find the anklets in the swamp with Gravebirds, below large archway.
