The graphics card and AI hardware industries are always changing. New goods enter the market, pricing strategies shift, and new technologies emerge. AMD's Radeon RX 9070 GRE is now available in stores; the Radeon RX 9070 XT has new pricing; and AMD's Advanced Shader Delivery technology enables better performance.

AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE cards are found at retailers, and global availability is expected before or during Computex 2026. Finally, the RX 9070 GRE has appeared on Amazon, so it's getting closer. A few models have been listed, such as the Cypus AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE Gaming OC. Other graphics featured include XFX Swift Gaming OC, Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE Gaming OC, and Prime 9070 GRE.

AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE: Newly Unveiled on Retailers

As of now, these four cards have been spotted, and from the cards listed, it seems to be the global launch. The presence of these retail listings indicates that the RX 9070 GRE will be available in its first market's target area. AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT goes under MSRP. Additionally, AMD's Radeon RX 9070 XT has had its price adjusted, with some distributors offering the graphics card at prices below AMD's suggested list price.

The main reason seems to be the growth of supply combined with the contraction of demand. There's been excess supply, making it more difficult for sellers to charge the recommended retail price while they want to sell their stock. AMD, however, mentioned on its earnings call that sales will be lower in Q2 2026. Only time will tell what happens to prices over the next several months. It would also be interesting to see whether these price cuts affect the wider market.

Advanced Shader Delivery Enhances the RX 9070 XT's Performance

After testing Advanced Shader Delivery on the RX 9070 XT across six games, Tom's Hardware finds significant improvements. Up to 95% reduced loading times for games and up to 33% improved 1% low FPS performance during testing. The idea behind Advanced Shader Delivery is to deliver pre-rendered shader compilations from online services rather than compile them locally.

This greatly reduces loading time and maintains consistent frame time. It's a significant step when times are reduced by 95%, which can help with smoother gameplay and get you up to 33% faster at 1% low FPS. There is a need to test this technology across a wider range of games and graphics cards before the true magnitude of its impact can be ascertained.

The test has been limited to just 6 games and just on the RX 9070 XT at the time.

The latest updates indicate that AMD has made further progress toward releasing the RX 9070 GRE. Price changes for the RX 9070 XT also suggest the market is shifting. At the same time, early test results for NVIDIA's new Vera CPU architecture are starting to show what it can do.

There's also evidence that Advanced Shader Delivery is delivering measurable improvements in loading times and frame consistency. As more tests and product releases occur, a clearer picture will develop on how these technologies will perform in actual use.
