Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust DLC Will Be Released on May 26

There's been much talk about Forspoken, both positive and negative since it was released in January. There has been criticism of Frey's voluble nature, but the game wouldn't be nearly as memorable without the outstanding work of Ella Balinska. Athia is indeed stunning with its mountains, meadows, and foreboding ruins, but the place is also nearly devoid of life.

Frey's magical parkour skills, however, make exploring an otherwise empty world through constant motion bewitching. And it’s good news for those still exploring the barren lands of Athia as Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust, the upcoming story DLC, will allow players to return to the world of Athia as Frey Holland.

 

The story DLC Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust takes place 25 years before the main game's events, making it a prequel. Frey is determined to find a permanent solution to the Break's presence in Athia, so she follows a voice she believes will lead her to the legendary battle that drove the Tantas mad: the Purge of the Rheddig. With Tanta Cinta and her enhanced magical abilities, Frey must find solutions and rescue Athia once more while trying to rescue herself.

Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust DLC has players fighting alongside Tanta Cinta against the invading Rheddig forces, using Frey's newly discovered magical ability to unlock new combat strategies and attack combos. Frey's magic-enhanced parkour skills will help you reach new heights in environments with a focus on verticality.

Square Enix has confirmed that the release date of the Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust DLC is May 26, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Steam and Epic Games Store. Those who already purchased the Digital Deluxe edition on or before May 23, 2023, will be granted early access to the story DLC. The DLC will also be available separately for those who have purchased the base game.
