The Latest Nintendo Direct Announced Multiple First Party Titles In the Pipeline

Lets-a-go! The Nintendo Switch has an exciting second half of 2023 ahead of them.

Today, June 21st, 2023, Nintendo announced a plethora of new and old Mario titles coming to the Switch for the rest of 2023 into 2024. Today was a lucky day for Mario fans. The beloved SNES classic, Super Mario RPG, is getting a remake and looks absolutely incredible. Fans don’t have to wait too much longer to see the return of fan favorite like Geno and Mallow when Super Mario RPG November 17th, 2023. Princess Peach will star in an upcoming title, with not much information given outside a little teaser.

Princess Peach has not starred in her own game since the underrated Super Princess Peach, which was released in 2005 for the Nintendo DS. The new Peach game looks like it will be an exciting title. In addition, Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon is getting a Switch re-release. It's nice to see Nintendo 3DS titles getting a second chance with new and old fans alike. Both the new Peach game and Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon port are expected to release in 2024.

Pikmin 4 received a new trailer, introducing new environments and the glow pikmin. Nighttime mechanics were shown off for the first time, a first for the franchise. Nintendo also shadow-dropped Pikmin 1 and 2 HD on the eShop today. Pikmin fans can rejoice that all Pikmin titles are now conveniently available on one console! Pikmin 1 and 2 can be purchased as a bundle for $49.99 or separately for $29.99 each.WarioWare is back with WarioWare: Move It!, launching on November 3rd, 2023.

Finally, Super Mario Bros. Wonder launches October 20th, 2023. It features a brand-new, stylish art style and looks to be a welcome departure from the “New” lineup of Mario games. For the first time in Mario history, Princess Daisy is now a playable character and new and interesting mechanics were introduced. Mario's ability to turn into an elephant is quite fascinating. Nintendo has a strong lineup of games for the rest of 2023. It looks like their holiday releases will set them up for success in the next fiscal year.
