Metal Gear Survive releases next month, with a beta coming this month, and IGN has released brand new gameplay footage showcasing the game's survival systems.
In the footage, gamers will use an array of survival tactics to survive the monsters within this alternate dimension. This includes scavenging for raw material to build and improve weapons, crafting defenses and fortresses, locating survivors, and using wormholes.
The wormholes can be used to deliver weapons and defenses for creative use. Players can summon a turret or even a gate to stop the horde. The gameplay footage highlights creative ways to use the wormhole to teleport items ranging from conventional firearms to dangerous traps.
In addition, the footage showcase more emphasis on melee combat. With items such as axes, polearms, sledgehammers, and a flaming baseball bat shown in the footage.
Metal Gear Survive is set to releases on February 20th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The beta will begin on January 18th.
