Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion Comrades Getting a Standalone Version

Square Enix is offering a new version of Final Fantasy XV, this time only providing one part of the game for purchase. Today, it was confirmed that the multiplayer portion called Comrades will become a standalone purchase this December.
Still called Comrades the package will release this December 12th and include a brand new patch that adds new bosses.
A standalone edition of FINAL FANTASY XV MULTIPLAYER: COMRADES for the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X and the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system will release on December 12/13th. Players can participate in various hunt, guard and convoy quests in co-op gameplay with up to four other players. The new update will bring 10 additional powerful bosses for players to face off against.
Comrades takes place during the events of the main campaign. As the player takes control of a custom warrior attempting to repel the demons long enough for Prince Noctis to return from his training. Players are joined with other warriors and take part in a variety of missions to aid the surviving populist during this difficult time. Comrades fills in the gaps of what happened during this period while Noctis was away.
