New Doom Eternal Battlemode Trailer Explores the Playable Demons

DOOM Eternal's newest mode, Battlemode has 2 players facing off against 1 player taking control of the Doom Slayer. With a new trailer showing off the demons you can control and the Doom Slayer abilities.

3 demons were shown that include the Revenant, Mancubus, and Pain Elemental. The Revenant and Mancubus play similar to Doom 2016 but the Pain Elemental can use a powerful shield for defense. 

The Doom Slayer will come fully equipped and replenish his supplies through glory kills granting health, a chainsaw for armor, and burning demons for ammo. However, the demons are interrupted these supplies and have access to unique abilities. The Doom Slayer can avoid detection by avoiding line-of-sight, which causes the silhouette that allows the demons to see the Doom Slayer through walls to disappear temporarily.  If a demon is killed, the Doom Slayer has 20 seconds to kill the other player. If not the player respawns with 50% health.

Portals are excellent for moving quickly but demons can lay ambushes with AI-controlled demons. 

Between rounds, players can select abilities and powered items. With demons gaining access to things such as the Baron of Hell or the Doom Slayer getting the BFG.

DOOM Eternal will release later this year on November 22 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch, and Stadia.
