Blacklight: Retribution Developer Shuts Down
The developers of Blacklight: Retribution, Zombie Studios, has closed and the owners have retired.

Daylight and Blacklight: Retribution developer Zombie Studios has announced that they’ve shut down their studio after two decades of developing video games.
The Seattle-based studio made the announcement on their official site, stating that the studio’s owners are retiring and thanking their fans for supporting them and employees for their hard work. All development and Blacklight: Retribution rights have been passed on to Builder Box Games. This new studio will consist of former Zombie Studios employees and headed by former director of production and former technical director of Zombie Studios, Andy Kipling and Russell Nelson.
“Builder Box will be working with Perfect World so that, as a fan, you can look forward to more updates and exciting changes in the coming year. Thank you for all the support that you have given Zombie and Blacklight over the years, and we look forward to your ongoing support as we transition to Builder Box.”
Zombie Studios was founded in 1994 by Mark Long and Joanna Alexander. Responsible for over 30 titles over a wide array of platforms such as Spec Ops, Blacklight: Retribution, and the Saw games.
