Blue Prince Guide | How To Beat The Game

This guide will show you how to beat the game in two halves: reaching and opening the antechamber and navigating to Room 46. Milestone moments will mark your progress, so you will build momentum for future runs even if you fail on your first attempt.

Permanent Upgrades

Before diving into the main objectives, you should familiarize yourself with core mechanics by drafting as many new and unique rooms as possible. Then, secure a couple of permanent upgrades. Head to the orchard behind the campsite and enter code 1128 to start each day with an extra 20 steps. You can also solve the breaker-box puzzle in the gemstone cavern to earn two gems every new day.

Reaching the Antechamber

When drafting, prioritize rooms in the bottom half of the mansion. These rooms rarely require keys and allow you to accumulate keys, gems, and coins. Simply arriving at the antechamber won't suffice; you must unlock one of its three doors—east, south, or west—by pulling the corresponding lever.

East Lever (Great Hall)

Locate the Great Hall, which features three doors on each side. One of these six doors conceals a lever; pulling it will unlock the east door of the antechamber.

South Lever (Greenhouse + Broken Lever)

Draft the Greenhouse, then search standard rooms such as the security room, aquarium, or workshop for the broken lever. Use a metal detector or shovel to increase your chances. Return the fractured lever to the Greenhouse and interact with it to unlock the south door.

West Lever (Secret Garden)

Obtain the Secret Garden key from chests, puzzles, or vendors. Use it on a locked door in column 1 or 5 to create the Secret Garden. Inside, align the three wind vanes to point west; this opens a hidden door, revealing the lever to unlock the west antechamber door.

Entering the Antechamber

After unlocking a door, enter the antechamber and head straight to the opened entrance. Avoid building rooms near the top of the map to conserve steps, keys, and gems. Inside, you will find a basement key on a raised pedestal.

Enter the Basement via the Foundation

Use the basement key on the Foundation, a permanent room you drafted near the mansion's center. Build directly above the Foundation to reveal a lever that activates its elevator. Ride down to unlock the underground.

Solve the Basement Puzzle

In the storage room, push the green button to move carts to clear a path. This opens a door behind a sliding bookcase leading deeper underground. Expect to run out of steps before solving the gear puzzle, but rest assured, your progress remains unlocked.

Moving the Mine Cart

Option A: Draft the Tomb

Open the west gate by crafting a garage and activating the breaker box. Inside the Tomb, interact with seven statues in the order of the Roman numerals found in the chapel's stained-glass windows. This reveals a path behind the mine cart; pull it back to access the gear puzzle.

Option B: Use the Pump Room to Drain the Fountain

Draft a pool and, later, the Pump Room. Operate gears, switches, and valves to drain the fountain permanently. Obtain a new basement key, return to the drained fountain, and descend a new staircase to reach behind the mine cart.

Complete the Rotating Gear Puzzle and Pull the North Lever

Use the Foundation elevator to return to the gear puzzle. Rotate the platform to align with the exit behind the mine cart, through, and proceed down the hallway to pull the north lever, unlocking the final antechamber door.

Return to the Antechamber and Reach Room 46

Navigate back to Room 46 through the antechamber entrance you opened. Interact with the door to achieve your first win. This milestone unlocks new rooms for subsequent runs, and beating the game again will reveal even more content.
