As launch day approaches and new hands-on demos are released, people are getting increasingly excited about Crimson Desert. There are new gameplay videos and details about a project that is getting crazier as the release date gets closer. A lot of bosses, more combat moves, changing energy systems, and the interaction of elements in the environment are all coming together to make a sandbox-style action RPG that is both fun and deep.
Based on what we've seen so far, the game uniquely and bravely mixes dramatic scenes with system-based gameplay. One of the most interesting new features shown off at tests and demos so far is the natural elemental system.

During gameplay, we noticed that ice darts are shot into the water, which quickly causes chunks of ice to float to the surface. You can interact with these pieces by standing on them. This could help you cross water or use them in puzzles and fights as well. Since explosive arrows can break these ice platforms, it's clear the design accounts for environmental damage. Different builds of fire, ice, lightning, and wind have been shown off.
This makes it look like players will be encouraged to try new things. This system should reward your imagination in ways that enhance the sandbox feel of the game if you like seeing how skills and terrain work together in unexpected ways. It also stands out for the tools it has for moving and attacking. Cliff, the main character, has a tool that looks like a web and works a lot like a grab hook. You can grab enemies, jump, pull yourself up, and chain hits into spinning crash moves.
When you can glide like a crow and do multiple amazing jumps to get higher, fighting in the air looks crazy in the best way possible. Once players get the hang of these tools, we expect them to make some truly crazy launch-week clips. Weapons change, too.
Heavy axes, spears, double swords, and sword-and-shield sets all have their own sets of moves. Two-handed weapons are no different. There are rumors that the way stamina is controlled has changed since the first builds. Now, advanced movement and special skills are the only things that use up stamina, not normal strikes.
It might not seem like a big deal, but we know from earlier tests that this change makes fighting a lot smoother and faster.
Meetings with the boss are getting more important. There are a lot of different kinds of fights here, from small humanoids on the ground to huge monsters from movies. Each fight has its own set of rules. You can test your skills early on against the Stag Lord, a test boss. If you're in an armored 1v1 fight, you need to pay close attention to attack patterns, time your parries and dodges, and keep track of your health.
It is very hard at first, but once you understand how everything works, the fight feels great. That's what the Red Devil does. The person in the mask doesn't like straight sword fights. In a reed field, they use speed, dodges, and attacks coming from all sides instead. Distractions and dummies are used during mechanical stages, so you need to stay alert and act quickly.
It's too much to handle when you don't know how the fight works. It's fun and easy to do when you do it. When bosses punish people who don't know what they're doing, they praise people who do. The Queen Stoneback Crab is so big that you have to climb up to get to its weak places. You have to watch your energy as you get on and off its back and then do an aerial ending move.
This makes the fight feel like a climbing-based monster fight. Before the launch, this finish was said to be very hard, but changes are said to have made the experience smoother. The meeting with Hexe Marie was one of the most beautiful ones so far. She can teleport, call down minions, change into crows, and use magic with a crow theme, which makes her fight stand out.

Rewards haven't been proven yet, but her connection to crow skills has led to rumors that she might be able to unlock powers.
White Horn is the next creature-based fight. It takes place in a snowy, open area and involves a huge, horned beast. Instead of normal dueling, this fight uses a lot of heavy charges, climbing moves, and creature-hunt energy.
One of the most interesting characters is Split Horn, the goblin king, who is fast and shoots a lot of chaos. Another is Golden Star, a huge golden mechanical dragon that looks like it will be a great way to end the game. There are a lot more enemies than we've seen so far. Silver Armor, Sir Catfish, a Desert Ancient, and even a Titan look like they have been seen more.
Besides fighting, the world scale looks very big and is set up based on how hard each area is. When you go to some places too soon, they might punish you, while other places are meant to be visited quickly. The RPG systems are more complicated because they have minigames, crafting, town requests, side jobs, and a camp base that can be changed.
You can make the camp look better, meet new people, and send them on jobs that are like trips. This level of growth and management complements the fast-paced combat, making the game slower and more strategic. You can play as more than just Cliff, which is another important thing to know. More characters are added as the game goes on.
One is a fast, rapier-style fighter who uses guns, and the other is an expert with two-handed tools for brute force.
When you play as different characters, the way you fight can be very different, which makes the game more fun to play over and over and try new things. Everything about Crimson Desert looks very good. The game is getting more and more fun with its sandbox features, elemental creation, freedom of movement, different bosses, and stamina rules that change all the time.
We can't wait to get the full version and see how well it runs, especially on platforms, and how well all of these tools work together during a full game. So far, what we've seen of the game makes us think that it might be one of the most highly advanced action RPGs we've seen in a while.
