Darkest Dungeon Gets A New Class

The Antiquarian may bring you more riches, at a cost.

Red Hook Studios have announced that The Antiquarian Update for Darkest Dungeon has been released. Prior to it going live, it will stay on a separate public beta branch. In order to access the content prior to it going live for all players, you will need to manually opt in, however, once you do, you cannot go back to the other build until the update is live. The Antiquarian is a class that lacks the combat power of the other classes but which can help you bring more riches from your quests. The update will pass through a couple of days on the beta branch because Red Hook Studios wants community feedback for last minute tweaks.

Apart from the new class, players can now hire higher level heroes from the Stagecoach, as it has recieved a new upgrade tree specifically for it. Heirlooms are no longer region specific, random heirlooms being generated for each quest. They can also be traded in town. The Linux port for the game is expected to come some time later this month.

I reviewed Darkest Dungeon and found it to be quite the gem. You can check out the review here.
