Dead Island 2 Still in Development
Dead Island 2 not cancelled
News by Grayshadow on Jul 07, 2018
Information about Dead Island 2's development has been mostly shrouded in mystery with many speculating that the game is canceled after its removal from the Steam page. But the publisher and developer have come forward to state the game is in development.
When asked on Twitter by a fan about a possible sequel the official Dead Island Twitter stated:
Dead Island 2 is still in development and we will share more on this at a later stage.

This is surprising considering that the title was revealed back in E3 2014 and the game's production was thrown into question when former developer Yager Productions was pulled from working on the game after its split with publisher Deep Silver. Eventually, it was announced that Sumo Digital would be taking over development but since then little information has been revealed about the project.
Confirming that Dead Island 2 is still in development will surely please fans hoping for the game's release soon.
Dead Island 2 is in development with no release date.
