The Definitive Edition of DMC: Devil May Cry is set to release on Xbox One and PS4 on Match 17, 2015 for $40. The remake of Devil May Cry 4 is also scheduled to release on the same platforms in summer 2015. DMC: Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition includes the main game, all DLC, plus new modes and costumes. The definitive edition will run at 1080p resolution and 60 fps on both consoles.
“New to DMC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition, players will be able to play as Dante’s twin brother himself in Vergil’s Bloody Palace Mode” Capcom writes in a press release. “For extra depth of challenge, players will be able to try out the added Gods Must Die level and Must Style Mode as well as Hardcore Mode, which has been designed to play more like the classic Devil May Cry series.”
Capcom has stated that balancing issues have been implemented based on fan feedback in the Definitive Edition. This includes a Turbo Mode that speeds up the gameplay during some stages.
Details about Devil May Cry 4’s transition to the next-generation are still sparse. Hopefully information of Devil May Cry 5 will be revealed soon as well.
