Everything Announced at the Paradox Announcement Show 2023

Paradox Interactive has partnered with Xbox to show off all the new things that it has in store for the next few months, and this publisher of strategy games has quite a few things in the pipeline. The biggest upcoming game from the company is Cities: Skylines II, which will be coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S, X later this year, and it promises to be even more realistic with better transportation and economic systems and even more robust mod support than the original had.

 

The entire show, titled the Paradox Announcement Show 2023, can be viewed on YouTube. So, other than the new Cities: Skylines game, what was announced at this show? There were some brand-new games announced, some sequels, and also several expansion packs. Let’s have a look at them:

• Surviving the Aftermath: Rebirth is the expansion for Surviving the Aftermath, and it allows for increased terraforming tools for players to better alter their environment.
• Across the Obelisk: The Wolf Wars is the first expansion pack of the deckbuilding RPG from 2021.
• Knights of Pen and Paper 3 is the latest entry in the pop-culture-oriented RPG franchise.
• Mechabellum is a sci-fi auto-battler where you fight with massive vehicles like mechs and heavy artillery.
• The Lamplighters League is the latest game by Harebrained Schemes, the company that gave the world the Shadowrun games. It’s a turn-based strategy game set in a stylized version of 1933. There is also a gameplay video to check out.
• Crusader Kings III: Tours and Tournaments is the expansion to Crusader Kings III, and it allows you to tour around your kingdom, host and/or fight in tournaments that you prepare, and you can even plan royal weddings.
• Europa Universalis IV: Domination is the expansion pack for the game and it provides players with new mission trees, military units, political estates, and a bunch of historical events.
• Stellaris: First Contact is the expansion for Stellaris, and it is a new story pack. It will release on 14 March 2023.
