Gears of War 5's New Enemy is Called a Warden

The Gears of War franchise has some of the best science-fiction creatures in video games, each one iconic is its own way. With Gears of War 5 now confirmed many are hoping for new enemies. We've seen mutant mechs and an ax-wielding Swarm warrior which has been confirmed to be called a Warden.

These beasts wield 2 crystal axes, are heavily armored, and focus on melee attacks. It's unclear if you'll be able to use those axes, considering Gears 5 has a brand new focus on melee combat it's entirely possible.

It's without a doubt more monsters and hybrids will be shown as the game's release date grows closer.

Gears of War 5 is in development for Xbox One and Windows 10.
