The chances are high that you have come across the rumor circulating online about a leak revealing when the GTA 6 Trailer 3 will be released. As rumors of this nature tend to go viral very quickly within the GTA community, the same happened here, too. This began when a user on one of the GTA forums, going by the username Gradazzi91, published information that immediately attracted significant attention.

He is not a veteran at all, but there must have been instances where many people mentioned that the guy has gotten some correct tips before, such as the leak regarding the boxed version of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, the PS5 version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and a couple of others, such as the Switch 2 port delay for 007 First Light.

Gradazzi91 has even given out information about himself once before.

It says he has worked at a gaming company in the video games department, where he was responsible for purchasing stock for the company. This job puts him in a position to know things in advance, which he sometimes passes on to his gaming buddies. One of the posts that started the discussion was when he said that if he were offered a spot to bet 1,000 euros, he would definitely bet that the third GTA 6 trailer would drop on a Tuesday.

Moreover, he thought it could be released even sooner, perhaps the following day. He said his sources told him via WhatsApp that Rockstar could have been preparing something for promotion, based on their communication with personnel in Sony's sales department. However, he stated that there was a high possibility they were just messing around with him, but he was still paying attention, even adding information about Wolverine videos.

This single post caused a huge controversy in the community. On the one hand, some believed his words because he had previously leaked some information. On the other hand, many began to doubt the validity of this leak. Rockstar Games, at the time, had shown no signs of announcing a trailer or any preparation. Rather, the studio's official social media accounts were busy promoting ongoing GTA Online event weeks.

This involved rewards in the form of a unique livery for the Vapid FMJ Mark 5 Supercar via vehicle workshops, race bonuses for the winner at the LS Car Meet, the Bright Manner Racing Suit, and an extra $100,000 in-game bonus. No further information about anything else was being given out by Rockstar at the time.

Thus, many people stated that if Rockstar Games were indeed planning to announce something related to the leak, they would probably have hinted at it by now.

In itself, the leak meant that should the claim prove correct, the third trailer of GTA 6 might coincide with its initial launch window in May 2026. The leak further revealed that a potential partnership between Sony and Rockstar could see a Rockstar involvement in the upcoming PlayStation State of Play, which is set to air on June 2nd.

This could be as minimal as a Rockstar trailer being screened at the event, but again, nothing concrete could be said about it. Once this post gained popularity, the moderators and admins at the GTA forums immediately stepped in. The first moderator who responded took the situation very seriously, warning that should the poster's claims not pan out regarding the release of a Tuesday trailer, there could be a permanent ban for good measure.

Clearly, the stakes have been upped, seeing as how there could now potentially be severe consequences on the forums themselves. The second administrator posted a GIF just to respond to what can only be considered a quite playful attitude. Nevertheless, their responses make it evident that the moderation staff is keeping a close eye on this situation.

Further discussion took place as more questions arose about the insider's past accuracy. One of the moderators said that although he sometimes gets facts right, his accuracy is inconsistent. It was pointed out that he was previously wrong on several occasions, predicting that some aspects of the GTA 4 remasters would be linked to preorders, that GTA 6 would not have a physical release, or that other marketing plans would not unfold entirely as described.

The main concern raised in the discussion is the gap between information accessibility at the retail level and real insight into Rockstar Games' marketing strategies.

One of the moderators noted that just because he works in the video game retail industry does not mean he knows Rockstar Games' marketing plan for their upcoming games. There was also uncertainty about exactly what had been verified. Users pointed out that he provided emails or proof of GTA 6 preorders, which were verified to confirm his identity.

But moderators explained that the verification process does not necessarily mean he is telling the truth about his predictions regarding the marketing and trailer release times. The discussion didn’t end there. Other individuals well-known in the gaming leaks community began to share their views.

For example, an insider from MP1st stated that he personally believed that the leak might have some truth behind it, but did not verify it because he considers Gradazzi91 to be a relatively trustworthy individual. This viewpoint did not end the discussion either. Another moderator replied by stating that the kind of information that MP1st is accustomed to dealing with focuses more on development information, for instance, screenshots from games that have been canceled, as opposed to marketing timelines and trailers.

This created suspicion regarding how much value their opinion had in this particular case. Another person of interest in the community, The Ghost of Hope, gave a “I believe” response, which kept everyone divided once again. By this time, reactions from the entire community were pretty much split right down the middle between those who believed this because the person made accurate claims from time to time and those who noted that there was no real evidence and that prior claims were inaccurate.

Moderators went back to earlier claims by this insider, including those that have either been proven wrong or retracted.

For example, he made claims about the nonexistence of a physical version of GTA 6 and other marketing-related claims that turned out to be inaccurate. In some cases, these claims were reworded when put under scrutiny. It is interesting that the critics' primary point became even more obvious during the discussion.

Whether someone possesses information related to retail or distribution sales does not necessarily mean one knows something about the company’s marketing strategy. At the same time, it should be noted that the mods continued to monitor the situation very closely as it unfolded right before their eyes. The user being banned could become a real option if the statement turned out to be false.

With everything having taken place, however, there was no resolution. Here, you have a leaked video virus that propagated very rapidly and was met with the interest of moderators while garnering responses from insiders. Yet, at the end of the day, there is no confirmation from Rockstar itself in either direction. With no official word coming through, this is all left hanging right where it began, in a place of speculation and conflicting credibility.
