Halo Infinite is Halo 6
Master Chief's story will continue
News by Grayshadow on Aug 17, 2018
At E3 2018, it was revealed that Halo Infinite would be the next game in the franchise. However, the trailer had fans wondering if this was a prequel or a sequel. During a Mixer broadcast, it was confirmed by 343 Industries Jeff Easterling that Halo Infinite is indeed Halo 6.
The uncertainty was generated due to the lack of information and that Master Chief looks surprisingly smaller than his previous forms. In addition, spinoff and prequels within the Halo franchise are often named without a number such as Halo Wars and Halo Reach.
Halo Infinite does have a lot to prove since the previous game, Halo 5: Guardians was one of the most poorly received mainline games in the series. Mostly due to its short campaign, extremely departure from the core gameplay, repeating boss battles, and cliffhanger and uneventful ending. So, yea, Halo Infinite is facing an uphill battle.
Halo Infinite is now in development for Xbox One and Windows 10.
