Heavy Rain hints at possible sequel

Heavy Rain is finally available as of today, and gamers will finally get to immerse themselves in Quantic Dream’s ambitious cinematic thriller. But according to Game Informer, players will be treated with some teaser footage that immediately hints towards a sequel or possibly some Heavy Rain downloadable content in the future.

 

Madison's investigation is not over yet.

 

Accessing the teaser footage all depends on the actions players will make during their playthroughs. With those choices, they may or may not see a Madison Paige epilogue cutscene, implying that her investigation regarding serial killers is far from over.  The epilogue scene apparently also reveals a new character, known solely as Vincent, who might be a possible antagonist for Madison Paige. As the other main characters have their own story arc, the epilogue teaser is most likely accessible for that character alone.

 

Whether or not this is a full-on Heavy Rain sequel remains to be explained, although the possibilities for add-on packs in the future are already starting to come into fruition.
