Helldivers 2 players might want to make some time in their plans because Arrowhead has released what looks like one of the biggest updates to the game in a long time. It's not just another balance pass with the Machinery of Oppression 6.3.0 patch. The new systems it adds are meant to give the ongoing galactic war more structure. It also addresses a number of community worries that have been going on for months.

The most important part of the update is the addition of Galactic Campaigns. Sources say that these campaigns will last for three weeks and include a number of Major Orders that are linked by larger military actions. As a group, completing most of these goals will unlock rewards that give players another reason to keep fighting Super Earth's enemies besides just going from mission to mission.

The update also gives one of the ship's traits a use that it had been missing for a long time. The inactive Control Center Terminal is now a hub for information where players can keep an eye on ongoing missions and find out more about their goals. There will even be an archive system that keeps track of finished campaigns so that both new players and experts can catch up on important events that affect how the story develops.

These changes could really help make the war effort feel more connected in a live-service game that is based on community interaction.

Players are reminded that they are not alone in their actions and that they are part of a bigger conflict with ongoing rewards and effects. Along with the new material, a big part of the patch is focused on making the game play better. Vehicles are getting a lot of changes. For example, Bastion tanks are getting stronger and Exo Suits are getting better at blocking enemy attacks.

Strengthening has also been done to ballistic shields and reconnaissance vehicles to make them more reliable tools for hard tasks.

Also, defensive gear hasn't been left behind, it’s now much easier for sentries to stay alive after changes were made to enemy damage levels that made them less effective over time. They are more durable now and should be useful again in defensive setups, especially in intense battles where every second counts.

Small changes to quality of life, on the other hand, can make a big difference, it now feels smoother and quicker to reload. Players can now queue up reload actions during certain moves and the animation will kick in as soon as it can. There's also been improvement to dodge-diving while reloading, which helps keep firefights in their fast-paced rhythm with no unnecessary pauses.

The patch also doesn't shy away from making the show better. Several stratagems like orbital bombardments and support options have been buffed to deal more damage and get through defenses better. As one example, the Eagle 110mm Rocket Pod has been changed so it can hit smaller targets with more accuracy by grouping rockets closer together and making them more powerful.

There will also be more chances for people who like explosive solutions to welcome chaos. A lot of throwable weapons now have bigger carrying capacities and faster refill rates, which makes grenades and other similar items more useful for long missions.

Another big focus is on enemy balance. One of the community's ongoing complaints has been addressed: hostile strikes that used to do too much long-lasting damage have been toned down. In the meantime, some enemy units have had their behavior changed to make battles challenging without being too much.

A long list of bugs that were found and fixed in weapons, support tools, and different game systems round out the update.

Several long-standing problems are said to have been fixed, which may help make this patch one of the most player-focused ones so far. There is a fine line that live-service games often have to walk between adding new content and keeping the game balanced. Arrowhead seems set on tackling both at the same time with Machinery of Oppression 6.3.0.

This led to an update that does more than just add new features; it also tries to make Helldivers 2 better overall.

We don't know if these changes will make the group happy in the long run. Now, though, the fight for Super Earth is moving on to a new phase with bigger explosions, better defenses, and more reasons to do what you need to do. People are only asked to say if they are ready for the war that is coming.
