Many gamers know Stefanie Joosten as the model and actor who played the fantastic Quiet in the widely acclaimed title Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Many wondered if Hideo Kojima would ask Joosten to take a role in his upcoming game Death Stranding and apparently it almost happened, but Kojima never followed up.

In a recent video by YouTuber YongYea, Stefanie Joosten was present in a video interview detailing her exchange with Kojima. Stating that she was approached with Kojima but never followed up. Providing concept art for Fragile to showcase the validity of the casting. Joosten explained she didn't want to bother Kojima since he was building the new Kojima Productions and that her management contacted Kojima Productions about the casting after a year, to which the studio explained that casting was closed.

Joosten was very understanding about the decision. Expressing that Kojima most likely decided to go in a different direction. In addition, Joosten debunked the rumor that she's working with Guerrilla Games on a project. Stating that the images of her at the studio were of her visiting and seeing what the studio is working on. (Please Horizon Zero Dawn 2!)

A long time ago I had the chance to interview Joosten about her work on Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain. Detailing her experience playing Quiet.

Death Stranding will release this November 8th for PS4.
