Latest Rage 2 Video Features Deadly Factions, Weapons, and Superhuman Abilities

Taking place 30 years after the events of the first game Rage 2 will feature an open world free of loading screens and pack to the top with action-focused gameplay. In the latest 7-minute gameplay video we get a short summary of the game's world and the factions within this dangerous world.

Starting off in the Wetlands after your settlement has been destroyed by the newly reestablished Authority players must seek out Dr. Kavasir who appeared in the first game. We get a glimpse of the various weapons and the return of the wingstick.

We get more information on The Goon Squad, a violent gang of bandits, and The Immortals, a high-tech version of the Goon Squad, but with better weapons and gear.

Also shown was the River Hoggs and Abaddon Mutants and of course The Authority and more. Each faction has specific weapons, vehicles, and tactics.

Many of the vehicles shown resemble things from Mad Max if they had homing rockets. The video touched on gameplay missions such as races and highjacking supply lines. 

New abilities such as the slam, Overdrive, which increases damage temporarily, and an upgraded wingstick that can track enemies from any angle.

Rage 2 launches in Spring 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
