Halo Infinite was supposed to be Microsoft's huge Xbox Series X debut game until it wasn't. Being delayed to an unspecific date of 2021 but the partnerships involving Halo Infinite will go on. With Microsoft confirming their partnership with Monster Energy.

Those who purchase cans with the Halo Infinite promotion will receive codes for double experience for 24 hours. You can earn up to 60 hours worth of boosters. Cans will be available between 9/1 to 12/21 of this year. Despite the game launching next year.

Double XP Boosts are for use in multiplayer to double the amount of experience points earned during the time the boost is active, and you get one boost per can. Yes, that means if you purchase a case of 24 cans, you will get a code that will unlock 24 Double XP Boosts from the receipt. Players can earn up to 60 hours of Double XP Boosts with their Monster Energy purchases.

In the U.S. between September 1 and December 31, 2020, fans who purchase limited-edition Monster Energy Halo Infinitecans at select retail stores nationwide can bank 30-minute Double XP Boosts, enter a sweepstakes to win a variety of prizes, and unlock access to the Halo Infinite world through a Snapchat filter encoded on each can.

This isn't new as games have been part of food promotions for decades. In the most recent years, it has become more aggressive with Monster Energy being featured in Death Stranding, Pingles promoting Overwatch, Nestle candy bars yielding Final Fantasy VII Remake codes, and so much more.

Halo Infinite is set for a 2021 release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
