Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition + Asura's Wrath Demo
News by Daavpuke on Jan 10, 2012
The Mortal Kombat reboot of last year was a relative success for the franchise. It even went on to win our Fighting game of the Year. Recapping the success and added post-release support, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced to be bundling the game with all subsequent downloadable content (DLC) and redistributing the whole as the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition. The game will include priorly released DLC warriors, Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain and Freddy Krueger, as well as featuring them on the box art shown below. The rebranded game will release March 2, 2012 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3; the latter of which still gain the exclusive Kratos as a playable fighter.
Fighting specialists Capcom on their hand have announced that their over-the-top game Asura’s Wrath will launch a demo across Europe today on Xbox Live, with the PSN demo coming tomorrow. The heavily cel-shaded, action packed title is heavy on mythological source material and features a near-indestructible protagonist with 4 arms, fighting gods the size of planets. The demo will contain said boss, called Wyzen, and Asura’s old mentor, Augus. The game itself is scheduled for European release on February 24, 2012 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
