Final Fantasy XV director, Hajime Tabata, stated this morning that the new episode of Final Fantasy XV will include three major changes to the narrative.

Final Fantasy XV,Stella,Noobfeed,Square Enix,

In the original Final Fantasy Versis XIII story protagonist Noctis has a female counterpart named Stella that was positioned as heroine of the story. This has changed and Stella has been removed from the game.

“We wanted to keep her as as heroine in Final Fantasy XV’s story, and pressured ways to tie her into FFXV’s design as well” Tabata stated. However “we found it increasingly difficult to make sense of Stella’s character and role within FFXV. So then we thought, do want to recreate Stella with a different role and image, or do we want to start over with a new heroine? And after a lot of consideration, we decided not to include Stella in FFXV”.

A new character will take Stella’s place named Luna, however no information regarding this new heroine has been revealed.

For those unaware of the changes made to Final Fantasy XV it was originally called Final Fantasy Versus XIII. In the city of Insomnia, and a trailer highlighted invaders from Niflheim crashed a party, were cut entirely.

Tabata has stated that Niflheim attacks Noctis and his team, afterwards leaving the city. Other changes have occurred by Tabata stating that XV is an entirely different game from Versus XIII.

Square Enix is set to release the new Episode Duscae demo on June 9 at 8 a.m. PST.
