Nintendo 3DS sells over 15 million units

Looks like people in the United States really love the 3DS, Nintendo has announced that their handheld console has reached 15 million.

The Nintendo 3DS on March 2011 with mixed results, causing Nintendo to reduce the price from $250 to $170 a few months after it was released. Nintendo has reported that sales are up 50% for the first six months of 2015 when compared to the same time-period in 2014.

Recently Nintendo released a new iteration of the Nintendo 3DS called the New Nintendo 3DS, which includes a faster processor, longer battery life and a c-stick, and the 2DS, which includes no 3D capabilities but can play 3DS games.
