Phil Spencer Says That Scalebound's Cancellation was Better for Xbox Gamers
Maybe Scalebound's being cancelled wasn't a bad thing

Perhaps one of the worst news to come out of 2017 was the cancellation of Scalebound, one of Microsoft's most demanded original exclusive IP. However, according to head of Xbox Phil Spencer, this was for the best.
As in the official statement, Microsoft is focusing on other major titles such as Halo Wars 2, Cuphead, Crackdown 3, Tacoma, Sea of Thieves, and other exclusives.
Scalebound was first revealed at E3 2014 as an exclusive game for the Xbox One. Originally suppose to release in 2016 the game was pushed back to 2017 and an announcement of its cancellation in January.
Bonnie Ross, head of 343 Industries, made a similar comment regarding the cancellation of Haggar. Some games simply sometimes don't make it or end up in decade-long development cycles. Last thing gamers would want is another The Last Guardian incident.
