Pokemon Masters Trailer Reveals Partner Pokemon System
Detective Pikachu's Partner Pokemon system being used in Pokemon Masters

Those who watched Detective Pikachu are aware of the Partner Pokemon concept. A trainer usually chooses 1 Pokemon to be there partner and according to the latest Pokemon Masters trailer this same system is being used in the mobile game.
In the trailer, we see a variety of trainers from the anime and video games competing in 3v3 battles. With each trainer having access to a single Pokemon, unlike in the anime or video games where they would have multiple Pokemon. Notable trainer and partner Pokemon reveals include Brock’s Onix, Misty’s Starmie, Lance’s Dragonite, Cynthia’s Garchomp, Steven Stone’s Metagross, Red's Charizard, and Blue's Pidgeot.
Considering that the lineup takes reference from both the games and anime having Blue with his Pidgeot seems strange. Although part of his original main team it would've been more ideal to have his Scizor from the manga since he trained it since he was a child or his strongest and most trained Pokemon from the anime Blastoise.
Pokemon Masters will launch this summer for Android and iOS mobile devices.
