PS Store Leaked METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER Release Date

Konami has been attempting to revive the Metal Gear series over the past two years since its original release. The event, a follow-through on some of the series' remastering through Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, planned to further the extremely popular IP by announcing a remake of the original Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater of 2004.

There was no official word from developers on a release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater despite it showing up in a PlayStation trailer for 2024-slated titles last year. The lack of any concrete action has kept some Metal Gear fans really edgy, but a recent leak on the PS Store comes as a huge relief.

Whether intentional or a mistake, there was a major leak about METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER's release date on the PlayStation Store. According to the PS Store, the game will be released on August 28th, 2025. Later, however, we learned that the Early Access for the game would begin on 25 August 2025.

One thing to note is that the PlayStation Store doesn't specify what we need to do to gain Early Access to METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER. So we're guessing there will be a more premium model, such as a $80-$90 deluxe edition that you can purchase. If not, you may have to pre-order the game; either way, there will be an Early Access period.

Konami also revealed that the game will be supported on the PS5 Pro and that the Snake vs. Monkey mode will return in METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER. Given the release date, we have to question whether this was going to be revealed during next week's February 2025 State of Play. Even though nothing major has been revealed, we're still excited because METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER is one of the most anticipated games of 2025.
