Riot Games addressing recent sexism and misogynistic accusations

Riot Games, best known as the developers of the widely popular League of Legends, came under intense fire after employees voiced the rampant sexism and misogynic behavior practices that occurred within the company. Kotaku was the first to report about the treatment several women endured while at the company where they were mistreated and passed for promotion because of their gender. In response to the article, former Riot employees started to reveal similar stories.

Riot Games,NoobFeed,

Riot has responded to the accusations with an official blog post outlining the changes coming to the company.

For the past three weeks, we’ve been focused on listening and learning. As a company, we’re used to patching problems ASAP, but this patch will not happen overnight. We will weave this change into our cultural DNA and leave no room for sexism or misogyny. Inclusivity, diversity, respect, and equality are all non-negotiable. While there is much to improve, there is a tremendous amount of good at Riot that will drive this change. This is our top priority until we get it right.

A series of bullet points were provided explaining how the studio was sorry, three times in the opening bullet point, about taking so long to reply. In addition, Riot explained that they're taking steps to make changes internally through training, recruitment, and diversifying their staff.

These statements sound like the company intends to make a widespread change to boost morale among the staff but also regain the trust of the community.
