Soulslike Action RPG Asterigos: Curse of the Stars Closing in for the Release

Acme Gamestudio, an independent developer, has created a brand-new mythological realm. In this realm of myth and legend, monsters wreak havoc on the lives of humans. An action RPG set in a Greek and Roman-inspired realm of high fantasy, Asterigos: Curse of the Stars on Steam is being developed by Acme Gamestudio and published by tinyBuild, and to be released on PC & Consoles this fall.

 

Asterigos lets players wild in the monster-infested City of Aphes with an exploration style influenced by soulslike action RPGs and a less rigid approach to fighting. Take on a variety of creatures, from monsters to demon-like entities, as you go around the city. You may explore every inch of this enthralling fantasy realm, from its snow-capped summits to its crystal-lined caverns.

The flavor of battle is variety. Players take on the role of the heroic young warrior Hilda, who must learn to use various weapons, each with its own unique combat style. A sword, a shield, a pair of blades, a spear, a hammer, or even magical staves and bracelets are all examples of weapons. In battle, you may swap between two weapons at any moment. With so many enemies to fight, you'll never run out of things to practice your talents on.

The cursed City of Aphes will put you through your paces with a bevy of monsters and nearly a dozen boss fights before revealing its most enigmatic mysteries. Discover the truth behind the curse through side-quests, lost papers, and even Hilda's personal journal of drawings, observations, and musings.

 

Asterigos is an excellent example of what can be achieved with the Unreal 4 engine by independent developers, thanks to its stunning graphics, dramatic animation, and breathtaking landscapes.
