Star Wars: The Old Republic Launches on Steam

EA has slowly been rereleasing their games on Steam with BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic now available on Valve's digital store.

Released back in 2011 the title received a mixed reception. However, over the years BioWare has refined the game with multiple expansions, the latest one in 2019. The title went free-to-play after the massive launch but slow decline which increased the player count. Since then the game has had a steady player base and is one of the most-played MMOs available now.

Regardless of the platform, players on both Steam and Origin can play together.

Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place after the thin peace between the re-emergent Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. Players can join either the Republic or Sith and walk the light of either the light or dark side.
