If you're one of those people that angrily shake their fist whenever Steam pops up in conversations but also happen to be looking forward to Pillars Of Eternity II: Deadfire, there's some good news for you. While Versus Evil are publishing the digital version of the title, an exclusive global distribution deal was signed with THQ Nordic in regards to the game's physical variant. The deal does not include the Korean Language version.
"When we first started working with Obsidian on Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, we knew that we wanted to make sure that we created a great physical product that matched the quality of this RPG”, said Steve Escalante General Manager of Versus Evil. “In partnering with THQ Nordic, not only did we find a team that is passionate about the product, but has the distribution and reach we hope to achieve with a physical edition of Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire."
Further information on the content of the editions, pricing and release date are said to follow "soon". It took Pillars Of Eternity II: Deadfire one day to be funded on Fig almost a year ago, when the campaign launched. The title will take players to the Deadfire Archipelago where they will chase after a rogue god. A ship will serve as a stronghold on the sea with the possibility of upgrading it. Pillars Of Eternity II: Deadfire is set to release sometime this year on PC.
