Combat Strategy and Tactics

The wide reach of the enemy's weapon makes fighting up close difficult. Using a Scythe or a Bow let's you land hits from a safer distance. You can also upgrade your gear with Magicite for boosting your damage output in the fight.

In The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, a timed parry will send the strike back at the enemy when they get close enough, staggering them and opening a window for counterattacks.

Otherwise, position Faie so the monster charges straight into her, dazing it instantly. When the creature launches long-range energy slashes, focus entirely on dodging, as these waves cause heavy damage.

Enemy Locations

You will find a guaranteed encounter with this opponent on the second sublevel of the Water Ruins during the main story in the Age of Reconstruction.

While you are searching for the Leytstaf, the enemy spawns inside an antechamber. The room locks down, forcing you to win the battle before you can access the final two rooms of the area.

Another guaranteed spawn happens during the side quest called The Sending Flame Rite in the Age of Magic in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales.

The creature appears immediately when you enter Monster Trail 5. In both of these locations, the main enemy fights alongside two smaller minions. It is best to eliminate these weak targets first so you can focus your full attention on the main threat.
