AI Limit Guide | All Soil Sample Locations

This guide will show you how you can unlock all 3 endings and the decisions you need to make in order to get the endings.

To advance Delpha's questline, unlock two of the game's endings, and increase your Life Dew capacity through Branch cultivation in AI Limit, you must gather all seven Soil Samples. To obtain all seven soil samples, follow these steps.

Soil Sample #1: Flooded Street (Sunken City Overground) 

Branch Location: Stronghold of Survivors

Begin at the Branch of the Survivors' Stronghold. Proceed to the left from there, past the NPCs who are relaxing.

Look for an NPC quietly pondering the meaning of life—or their next snack—while gazing at a blank, algae-streaked wall. Half-buried in faded concrete and overgrown moss, the Soil Sample sits harmlessly on the ground next to them.

Soil Sample #2: Twilight Hill's Withered Forest

Location of the Branch: Deadwoods

Proceed directly into the enormous, poison-filled basin from the Deadwoods Branch. It appears to be lethal, and it is. Dash as if your life depended on it, or put on your anti-toxin boots.

Take the center path, which gently veers to the left once you're in the poison lake. You will discover a mossy cave entrance that is only defended by a few dubious-looking mushrooms. Enter and turn to face the left wall. Tucked away there, the Soil Sample blends in almost perfectly with the earthy stone.

Soil Sample #3: Underground Parish (Sunken City Underground) 

Branch Location: Ground Floor of the Mansion

Leave the Branch and proceed down the elaborate but dilapidated corridors until you come to a spacious, open room. On a high platform to the right, a Void enemy brandishing a harpoon is waiting.

Unless you want to cosplay a pincushion, ignore the harpoon guy. Instead, descend the two long platforms in the center of the room and search for a dark sewage pipe that leads to the left and down. The Soil Sample is located at the end of this eerily quiet hallway, leaning against a wall covered in rust.

Soil Sample #4: Sewer Town North

Branch Location: Tank for Sedimentation

Follow the tunnel from the Branch until it opens. After descending two levels, go to the bottom floor of the sedimentation area.

There is a massive Void enemy in bulky armor standing next to a destroyed service bot at the very bottom, past the dripping pipes, and beneath the flickering fluorescent lights. Your next Soil Sample is behind them, tucked away in a crack between broken support beams.

Soil Sample #5: Twilight Hill's Watch Tower

Location of the Branch: Spirit Depths 

Step out of the Branch and proceed cautiously across the first red crystalline walkway (don't pay attention to the menacing creak). Make a sharp left turn and descend to the next level, where three fervent Church adversaries are on patrol.

Go counterclockwise around the circular path rather than picking a fight. You will discover a tiny room concealed behind a corroded gate. The Soil Sample sits like a forgotten artifact in the corner of that room.

Soil Sample #6: Arboretum (Hidden Twilight Hill Area) 

Branch Location: Arboretum 

This one is challenging. Start at the Branch of the Watch Tower. Go past the room where you fought the Panic Reaper and Cleansing Knight. At the next level, descend to the red crystalline platforms.

A red platform that is slightly longer than the others is a clue. Look for it. Approach a tall central tower with caution as you cross an invisible bridge.

Take the elevator upstairs and turn off a number of sentry eyes (hint: they're not blinking affectionately at you). After finishing, take the elevator to the top of the tower and kick down the ladder for a quicker return.

Take the next elevator down after battling a lone Church soldier and removing a Dew Essence from a butterfly that is fluttering. Follow the only path to the right and drop into a lower clearing. Step through the dimensional rift that will appear. Now that you're in the Arboretum, your priceless Soil Sample is on the floor of the ivy-choked greenhouse, right before the Branch.

Soil Sample #7: Sewer Town Center Subway Station

Branch Location: Train Station

Leave the Subway Station Branch and proceed through the poorly lit tunnels used for maintenance. Continue until you fall into a large hole encircled by your endearing half-human, acid-spitting enemies.

Look back at the short ledge you fell from as soon as you touched down. Right next to it is the Soil Sample, which is partially obscured by some suspiciously glowing fungus and a piece of metal debris.
