This guide will show you how you can unlock all three endings and the decisions you need to make in order to get the endings.
Ending 1: The End of Childhood
The End of Childhood is the common outcome that will end the game, and this is where most of you will end. To get this ending, you need to do the things listed below.
If you fail to get the Azure Branch, Delpha's quest will not be complete. To do this, talk to Loskid after you beat her. Once her choices are over, she will give you the Golden Branch key item.
This stops you from doing the quests that lead to the other endings right away. Now, get to the last area and beat Aether.
Ending 2: Boundless Stars
In essence, this is the "good" ending, but you'll need to make a lot of wise choices. When you get to the Azure Branch before talking to Loskid, the chase starts.
This locks out the conclusion of The End of Childhood and completes Delpha's plot. From this point on, there are two possible endings: this one and the Second Dawn. Here is how to unlock the Boundless Star ending.
Locate the seven soil samples in the main area. This is necessary to obtain the purified soil.
To get the Living Seed item, defeat Ursula, the Mutated.
At the Outer-Wall Ruins – Ancient Machine Works, Ursula is a secret boss. From the Assembly Hall, cross the pit via the lengthy walkway. There's a big robot here somewhere. Go to the end of the walkway, which is across from the robot's door. You'll see something on a pipe if you look down.
On the first pipe, jump down and keep going down. Between jumps, you'll need to recover. Proceed along the trail, vanquish Ursula, and then converse with her to obtain the Living Seed.
Returning to Delpha to retrieve the Arboretum Soil is your next assignment. After that, plant the seed at the Branch to obtain the Azure Branch item.
The following section transports you to Sewer Town's Courtyard of the Tree neighborhood. This location is concealed from view and is a part of Millaire's questline.
Take the Central Station Branch at Sewer Town Center. Proceed on the main trail until you reach a hole.
Continue down the subway car path after dropping to the ground.
After you arrive at the Underground Shaft Branch, follow the path that descends to the bottom. The Gate of the Tree Branch is located here.
You will receive the Seal of the Tree if you interact with the memory.
Return to Millaire at the Temporary Campsite, talk to her, and present her with the Seal of the Tree. She will provide you with a new address. She will open the door leading to the Guardians of the Tree, the hidden boss, if you proceed to the Gate of the Tree.
Once the hidden boss has been defeated, reach the far ledge in this area and leap toward the distant tree. When you get to the Courtyard of the Tree section, fix the Branch and head upstairs to talk to Charon.
After completing all of this, go back to Loskid and pick up the Golden Branch. Go back to Central Garden Branch and locate a pool on the upper floor.
After defeating Aether and interacting with the pool to get to Elysium, you'll be given a dialogue option. The Boundless Stars ending will begin when you select "Accept the Invitation."
Ending 3: Second Dawn
This is the game's "real" ending, which was unlocked by following the same steps as Boundless Stars, plus finishing Shirley's questline.
He will give you the Nameless Flower after you finish Shirley's questline and get the Azure Branch from Delpha.
If you just received the Branch, you will need to leave or rest at the Branch. To give Shirley the flower, go back to her last location at Hagios Patir Path of Epitome Branch and talk to her again.
After speaking with Loskid to acquire the Golden Branch, you can proceed as before to the Central Garden Branch and enter Elysium via the pool. You will have two options this time after you defeat the Father, Aether. Select "Decline the Invitation" to initiate the Second Dawn ending. You will then receive this ending after fighting the final boss, Charon, the Nurturer, who is hidden.
