The Eclipsar Lumina is one of the strangest tames in ARK: Survival Ascended, and nothing about it works the way a normal creature does. You cannot knock it out; the tame runs entirely on mini-games, and one crash resets your progress. This guide covers where it spawns, how the tame works, and which abilities matter.

The Lumina only spawns during the day, so searching at night is wasted time. It appears on The Center, Lost Colony, Ragnarok, and Valguero, mainly around mountains and snowy regions. Spawns are rare and hard to spot, so a fast flyer makes the search much easier. Once it notices you, it will attack or fly off.
How to Tame the Eclipsar Lumina
You do not tranquilize the Lumina. Weaken it below roughly 10 percent health, then close in with a Drake Claw or run up to it and mount its back. It takes off straight away, and the tame begins.
You fly the dragon yourself while clearing three mini-games in order. Hitting the ground, a cliff, a structure, or the world border throws you off, so bring Parachutes.
The first is a memory game showing a sequence of button prompts you must repeat in order, and higher-level Luminas use up to six inputs. The second has you destroy glowing light beacons with your breath attack as fast as possible. The last is a diving challenge where you glide as far as possible within a time limit, which is easier if you start high in the sky.

Once all three are cleared, you can feed the Lumina Raw Mutton or Superior Kibble, then the sequence repeats until the tame finishes. Failing a mini-game or getting knocked off costs all your progress.
Saddle and Abilities
The Lumina Saddle unlocks at level 65 and is crafted in a Smithy using 220 Hide, 150 Fiber, 60 Silica Pearls, and 40 Metal Ingots, which is cheap for such a strong creature.
It has two flight modes. While hovering, left-clicking bites, and every third hit becomes a stronger combo; holding left-click swaps to a faster claw attack with a longer cooldown. Right-click fires the breath attack, and holding it charges a rapid version. In sprint mode, double-tapping A or D rolls to that side, X flips your direction mid-flight, and C loops without breaking the sprint.
Every breath hit builds 3 percent Fury. At 100 percent, the Lumina becomes immune to non-structure damage for 10 seconds and fires faster, but taking any damage clears the stacks. Breath hits also stack a light debuff that raises your breath damage on that target. With an Umbra nearby, both dragons gain a solar buff worth 20 percent movement speed, 25 percent damage reduction, and better stamina regeneration.

Bonding is the most important upgrade after taming and raises most stats by roughly 25 percent, and breeding stays locked behind the skill tree. Light Fusion is the standout skill, adding 100 percent breath damage per point, while Light Teleport, Light Recall, and Piercing Light improve how the breath attack lands.
Clear the three mini-games and keep feeding it until the tame finishes, and the Eclipsar Lumina becomes one of the strongest flyers in ARK: Survival Ascended once its skill tree is unlocked.
