Legendary Wind Tamer quest in Black Myth Wukong is for the yellow-robed Squire, a bow-wielding individual you will aid not too far from the Man in Stone. Completing this quest unlocks a secret map called the Kingdom of Sahali and a third Talisman slot for your character. It’s a quest for mythical and legendary items, including an armor set and a couple of boss fights. You definitely don’t want to miss this quest if you want your character to become very strong.
To start this questline, head to the left side of the Rockrest Flat secret shrine, past some enemies, and into a larger open field with an NPC in the middle. This will be your first time meeting the bow-wielding character, who will request a Sobering Stone from you to get back on his feet. You can give him the one you just bought from the Man in Stone shop, assuming you completed that questline first, or you can find one for free near the Wind Rest Bridge.
To get the free one from the Wind Rest Bridge, if you need it, go past the bridge and enemies, then take the stairs immediately to your left. Go up these stairs, then follow the stairs to the right, and finally, take another left. You will spot a golden glowing container tucked away inside one of the shacks, protected by an enemy. Simply take it down, and it’s yours. In either case, head back to the Squire and give him the item. This part is now complete.
From here, the Squire will move on to the Temple of the Crouching Tiger. Head over there to the right-side terrace just before the boss fight. This time, he only needs a Jade Lotus to eat, which you should have plenty of, as they are superabundant, especially around bodies of water. Afterward, he moves one final time back to the same area where you first met him, in front of the big gate.
Once you’ve done that, head over there. This will start a short combat sequence. You’ll gain access to the Kingdom of Sahali if you defeat him. Additionally, you will receive the Snout Mask, which boosts your attack whenever you use your guard, though it can also reduce your attack if you use it too much, so be careful.
I don’t want to spoil too much of what happens here, as it’s worth discovering on your own, but there are a couple of boss fights. The first one unlocks the third Talisman slot mentioned before, a Tiger Talisman. This item gives an extra attack buff on successful light attack combos, which is great because you are always doing that.
If you beat the second encounter in the area, you will receive the powerful Legendary Wind Tamer Vessel. This item is super OP—it has a very short cooldown and can stun bosses, making it excellent for interrupting their phases and power-ups. It also provides good damage reduction and even grants immunity to strong winds, which is helpful against the boss in the chapter. You will also obtain the Mythical Sky Piercing Horn, which allows you to craft a powerful weapon.
