Black Myth: Wukong | Man in Stone Questline Guide

This guide will show you how to complete the Man in Stone side quest in Black Myth: Wukong. This short chain includes a boss fight and a secret shop at the end.

The first thing you need to do is get to Chapter 2 and reach the Fright Cliff, where you'll be able to get to the Rockrest Flat Shrine. Once you interact with that shrine, you must run into the opposite cave. Immediately after you are in, take a right and then run forward and a little to the left until you run into a latent rock enemy that has three blue flames on it.

Once you start hitting the boss, the more times you damage it, the more enemies it summons, as this boss does not actually fight back. You just have to keep hitting the boss and pick off the enemies it spawns.

 Once you defeat the boss, you should get the Stone Essence key item. Once you have that, you can run away from the boss and follow the path to the right of the nearest cave exit. Do not take the cave exit; go to the right of it and keep towards the right side of the cave wall until you are out. Keep going to the right until you reach a horizontal path that goes across a sort of ravine. Jump down and go to the left.

You'll then come down where a man is stuck in a stone, and you need to deliver the essence. Once you deliver the essence, he will call you gullible, and he will not give it back. So, defeat this Man in Stone. Once you defeat him, he'll be put right back to where he was. Once you're done, you can then grab the essence back, and you should now get the Azure Dust spell. Now, you can transform into a rock and be immune to all four Banes.

After he says that he can trade with you later, you need to go to a shrine and rest. You can return to the man once you've rested at the shrine. He should now have a store where you can purchase items.

These include the Blood of the Iron Bull, the Goldridge Beast, and a soak called the Iron Pet. When you use your gold, this soak prevents you from getting staggered and significantly reduces damage, which seems pretty OP. Also, an epic Goldflora Hairpin slightly boosts Will gained from defeating enemies, along with the Sobering Keystone, which you will need for the Boar quest in the same chapter.
