Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector Guide | How To Get All Crew Members

As you travel through the Belt in Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, you will find a number of personalities who can join your crew. Crew members are valuable for Contract completion because they provide extra Action Dice and special skill to allow your success. There are two categories of crew members: local crew, who can only help in their specific sectors, and permanent crew, who will accompany you through a range of locations.

To hire crew members for permanent service, you must complete specific narrative drives and make the correct interactions with them. Some characters need you to complete a Contract with them first before they are recruitable for them. Once recruited, crew members can be chosen at the Contract start, providing their skills and dice to allow mission completion.

Each crew member has two Action Dice, like the Sleeper, and rolls new dice at the start of each cycle. Crew members, however, have a Stress meter, and when full, have a negative result or take risky actions. 

In the event that a crew member reaches its full Stress level, it will be unable to complete any more actions during the Contract. Players who use the Extractor build can utilize the Push skill to re-roll a crew member's worst dice, increasing its success chance.

How To Get Each Crew Member

Crew members are recruited by visiting various locations and completing a contract with them. Below is a list of each recruitable character, location, and requirement for recruiting them.

Serafin is easiest recruit crew to recruit since they join your crew at the start of your game. Serafin have Engage and Endure skill sets, and these skill sets are ideal for early-game crew.

• Location: Darkside (starting location)
• There are no objectives.

Nia can recruit at the Hexport Docks and Flotsam locations. Nia is an expert in Intuit and, thus, an ideal skill for awareness and understanding types of contracts. To recruit Nia, first, complete Cutter's End Contract and Conway Signal Contract objectives.

• Location: Hexport Docks in Flotsam.
• Cutter's End Contract and Conway Signal Contract objectives.

Femi, in the same location as Nia, has a range of skill sets, including Engage and Endure. To recruit Femi, first, complete Cutter's End Contract.

• Location: Hexport Docks in Flotsam.
• Cutter's End Contract objectives.

Helion Gate in Hexport is located in Juni, a talented Interface Specialist. To recruit Juni to your crew, complete both the Solheim Contract and Shipmind Wreck Contract.

• Location: Hexport, Helion Gate.
• Solheim Contract and Shipmind Wreck Contract objectives.

Bliss is one of the easiest recruits in that they have no objectives for joining them. She is an expert in engineering and bookkeeping and, thus, an ideal recruit for your crew.

• Location: Far Spindle, Bliss' Bay.
• There are no objectives.

Yu-Jin has expertise in Engage and Endure, and thus, is an ideal alternative for high-risk types of contracts. Yu-Jin can recruit in Gaia's Gyre in Far Spindle. To recruit Yu-Jin, complete the Hidden Wreck Contract.

• Location: Far Spindle, Gaia's Gyre.
• Hidden Wreck Contract objective.

Kadet provides Engage and Engineer skills and can be recruited in Spindle Core and in Scatteryards. To recruit Kadet, you must first complete the objectives for Stealing Hexport Data and Cracking Hexport Data.

• Location: Far Spindle - Spindle Core, Scatteryards.
• Objectives: Complete objectives for Stealing and Cracking Hexport Data.

Luis has Engage and Intuit skills and can be recruited in The Hollow. To recruit Luis, you must complete the Aphelion Beacon Contract, but you must leave Yu-Jin behind for that.

• Location: The Hollow.
• Objectives: Complete the Aphelion Beacon Contract and leave Yu-Jin in Flint.

Flint is one of your crew's final additions, with high Engineer and Interface capabilities. Flint can be recruited in Olivera, and recruiting them entails rescuing Karman and Flint and completing the Old Manufactory Contract.

• Location: Olivera
• Objectives: Rescue Karman and Flint in the Old Manufactory Contract

Finally…

The crew assists to provide more dice to Contracts, and choosing your crew can make a huge difference. Consider your Sleeper's talent gaps and recruit a crew with such gaps covered. Furthermore, don't forget about overstaffing, for overstaffing can render them less effective.

By choosing and managing your crew, your chance of success in Contracting in the most demanding in the Belt will become brighter. Complete crucial plot missions in a timely manner in order to recruit more crew and form a strong crew that is able to overcome any challenge Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector will have on your path.
