This guide is all about making a strong build around the War Cry Ashes of War. When combined with the right weapons, these buffs are potent and can do a lot of damage. With the proper tuning, they can do even more damage in Elden Ring.

Core Weapon Choice

Because of War Cry's different combos, the Greatsword is the primary weapon for this build. When the War Cry is used, the heavy attack transforms into a genuine combo that seamlessly transitions into a light attack.

This combination was already powerful before the DLC expansion, but now that there are more equipment choices, it is even stronger.

Essential Talismans and Equipment

You should put on the Two-Handed Sword Talisman because it makes your already powerful combo moves do a lot more damage in Elden Ring.

Use the Roar Medallion because it boosts the heavy attacks of all Ash of War that are based on roars. To do the most damage possible, add the Highland Axe to your setup. All roar-based moves do more damage when you use them.

Alternative Weapon Options

Even though the Great Sword is better for combos, the Stone Club is also an excellent choice for this build. This weapon has great Hyper Armor for how fast it attacks, and when all of its buffs are active, its heavy attack does a lot of damage while giving a lot of Hyper Armor.

Stat Distribution and Infusion

Focus on giving your character a lot of Strength, as all three of the suggested weapons do the most damage when they are heavily loaded in Elden Ring.

This method makes sure that the scaling and damage potential are best for the way you play, which is based on War Cry. When using these weapons with a Strength-based build, the heavy infusion method does the most damage scaling.
