There are a few items in Elden Ring that you should have to make your expeditions easy and efficient.

Scenic Flatstone

You must locate a jar merchant in the Round-Table Hold area to get the Scenic Flat Stone. The merchant sells the item for 600 Mercs, the in-game currency. Upon purchase, you'll receive a random relic with random stats. The stats you get on these relics are entirely random and depend on your RNG in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Once you've got the relic, you can use it from your inventory. Relics may include stat increases (such as Vigor or Dexterity) or special abilities (such as HP restore or stamina recovery).

Since these require currency, if you're low on Mercs in Elden Ring Nightreign, farm some by killing enemies, selling unwanted equipment, or completing early-game quests. When you have enough, return to the merchant and attempt to roll for another relic.

This is a good way of getting relics if you find the expeditions hard and just want to get relics without much struggle.

Old Pocketwatch

You can get the Old Pocket Watch relic in two main ways in Elden Ring Nightreign. The locked way is defeating Gladius, the three-headed wolf boss, the first main boss you will face on your first expedition. This will always drop the relic after you have defeated the boss.

Or you could get it through regular expeditions in Elden Ring Nightreign as a reward. This is also complete RNG, so you might even get the Pocket Watch as a reward in your first expedition, even after being defeated. All you have to do is just play. This varies from player to player.

The Old Pocket Watch is a green-tier item with two significant advantages. You get a +3 Dexterity bonus and FP recovery after successful attacks.

This makes it extra helpful for characters that depend upon frequent use of skills, as the FP recovery keeps your fight power intact.

Additionally, the pocket watch in Elden Ring Nightreign is used to unlock the Duchess, so you should get this item early if you're going to unlock the Duchess.

Besmirched Frame

This can only be unlocked if you have the Old Pocket watch and have unlocked the Duchess.

When you have the pocket watch, you must talk with the Priestess in the Round-Table Hold to unlock the Duchess.

Once you've unlocked the Duchess in Elden Ring Nightreign, go to the Small Jar Bazaar. There, you can buy the merch frame, available for sale, which can be purchased for 1500 mercs.
