In this guide, you'll embark on Iron Eye's Remembrance questline within Elden Ring: Nightreign. You'll learn how to unlock journal chapters, enter the Realm of Remembrance, complete personal objectives by defeating Nightlords, and navigate interactions with key NPCs such as the Priestess and Trader.

By following each step—from unlocking Chapter 4 to ultimately facing the Night Aspect—you'll uncover Iron Eye's unique story and earn exclusive rewards. Whether you're playing solo or in multiplayer, this guide will help you understand exactly what you need to do to progress Iron Eye's questline and claim its distinctive relics and cosmetics.

Unlocking Iron Eye Journal Chapters

Right at the beginning of the game, you have to play Iron Eye and complete a couple of expeditions until you can unlock some of the journal chapters. You also need to defeat a Nightlord to unlock Chapter 4.

Specifically, you must defeat at least one of the Nightlords using Iron Eye. Once you have done so, make your way to the journal within the Roundtable Hold.

Accessing the journal will allow you to see the chapters you have unlocked. After defeating a Nightlord, you will have unlocked Chapter 4, which reads "Begin Remembrance." Selecting this option initiates the quest and enables you to pursue the specific objectives for Iron Eye.

Initiating Remembrance for Chapter 4

When you begin the Remembrance with the character you are playing, you will be transported into a special mode characterized by a white, cloudy visual effect—the Realm of Remembrance.

While in this realm, open your map to locate an NPC marked with an exclamation point. This NPC is the Priestess, and she will guide you through the initial stages of the quest.

Talking to the Priestess in Remembrance

Once you identify the Priestess on the map, head toward her location. Speak to her, and you will receive dialogue options to discuss both the Fellowship and the Trader. After covering both topics, you will see an option to accept a task.

This task assigns you a personal objective to eliminate a Band of the Condemned. Upon accepting, you will receive this personal objective, which can only be completed during your next expedition in Remembrance mode.

Note that only one personal objective may be completed per expedition; if you are playing in multiplayer, only one player's aim will be active at a time.

Accepting and Completing the Personal Objective

Your objective requires you to defeat a traitor in any expedition while in Remembrance mode. As soon as you enter an expedition, look for a red flag marker indicating your objective (or another player's).

You must hunt and defeat a Nightlord—any one of them will suffice. The Nightlord will appear essentially as an Iron Eye clone.

Defeat this Nightlord to eliminate the Traitor. Once you have won the encounter, the game will notify you that you have vanquished the invader and award you the Traitor's Letter: an Invitation from the Traitor. This completes your objective.

You may then either allow yourself to perish or successfully finish the expedition; either way, the Remembrance quest will advance.

Returning to the Roundtable Hold

After completing the expedition, return to the Roundtable Hold. Locate the Priestess again—she will be marked on the map with an exclamation above her head. Speak to her and select the option to show her the Traitor's Letter. She will provide a concluding dialogue for this portion of the quest.

Following this interaction, a portal next to her will appear. Enter that portal to exit Remembrance mode and return to your everyday world, at which point you will receive your reward: Iron Eye's Chalice, a unique relic item.

Progressing to Chapter 6

To unlock Chapter 6, you must defeat four unique Nightlords using Iron Eye. Once you have accomplished this, return to your journal; Chapter 6 should now display a "Resume Remembrance" option. Selecting this will continue Iron Eye's quest line.

Locating the Priestess and Traitor in the Crypt

Activating Remembrance for Chapter 6 transports you once more into the Realm of Remembrance. Your objective is to speak to the Priestess, but this time, she is not marked on the map. Instead, you must locate her in the crypt beneath the Small Jar Bazaar.

Teleport to the Small Jar Bazaar site of grace, then proceed to the staircase leading down into the crypt. At the bottom of the stairs, you will find a doorway that is already open; enter through it to access the crypt. There, you will encounter both the Trader and the Priestess.

Obtaining the Edge of Order Item

When you speak to the Trader in the crypt, he will request that you execute him. Attempting execution will fail, and he will resurrect, revealing that you require a special item called the Edge of Order. The Priestess will offer a clue regarding its location.

Additionally, your journal will list that you must defeat the Darkdrift Knight Nightlord to obtain this item.

Queue for an expedition in Remembrance mode to face the Darkdrift Knight. If you wish to guarantee that you receive the Edge of Order upon victory, consider queuing solo; recent updates have made solo Nightlord hunts more viable.

Alternatively, you may attempt to matchmake, but be aware that if another Iron Eye player's Remembrance quest is prioritized, your progress may not advance. Upon defeating the Darkdrift Knight and completing the victory screen, you will receive the Edge of Order: Fragment of the Spear of Falore.

Concluding Chapter 6

Return to the crypt in the Roundtable Hold, where the Priestess and Trader await. Use the Edge of Order on the Trader to execute him successfully, thereby ending his life and completing this portion of the quest. Please speak to the Priestess afterward; she will summarize the conclusion of Chapter 6.

At this point, you can choose to end the Remembrance instance to exit back to the everyday world. Your journal will automatically update to include Chapter 7, which reads, "All that remains is to face the Nightlord".

Facing the Night Aspect Nightlord (Chapter 7)

To complete Chapter 7, you must locate and defeat the Night Aspect, the Nightlord of all Nightlords—the primordial, leading Nightlord. This encounter is considerably more challenging, especially when played solo, due to the Nightlord's relentless and aggressive attack patterns.

It is strongly recommended to tackle this fight in a group. You may enter the expedition in Remembrance mode; you need to defeat the Night Aspect. Whether you win or perish, once the Nightlord is defeated, your quest will progress to its final step.

Using the Clench Dagger on the Corpse

As the final phase of the quest line, you will enter the Roundtable Hold as part of the Night Aspect's ending sequence. You will find a corpse placed near the end of the Chamber.

Approach and interact with the corpse; you will receive a second prompt to "Use the Clench Dagger". Selecting this option unlocks Iron Eye's unique ending. Refrain from skipping this interaction to experience the full conclusion.
