There are many classes to choose from in Elden Ring Nightreign, but one of the strongest classes you can use from the eight different Nightfarers is the Executor to make your expeditions easy.

Executor Playstyle

Executor is a unique fit for Elden Ring Night Reign. You can use the HP, stamina, and skills to be a frontline melee fighter, acting as a tank with the Sacred Sword parry deflections and the Cursed Sword skill.

But you also have the best arcane and dexterity attribute scaling of any Nightfarer starter class, so this character is ideal for katana or dex-wielding builds, particularly those based on status effects.

The Executor is high-risk, high-reward—you must master the Sacred Sword's parrying ability to maximize your effectiveness. However, mistiming parries means taking hits directly, which is dangerous since your HP isn't high enough to sustain too many hits.

Because of this, the Executor isn't recommended for beginners, especially if you're unfamiliar with Elden Ring's boss attack patterns and animations. Knowing those timings is crucial for survival.

Attributes and Strength

Your initial stats are B-tier HP, D-tier FP, B-tier stamina, C-tier strength, and D-tier intelligence and faith. Your maxed-out stats are dexterity and arcane, both S-tier.

Status effects such as bleed, frostbite, poison, and scarlet rot accumulate quickly on enemies with your attacks. Weapons such as katanas and daggers, which spawn a lot for the Executor, are perfect.

Your best ability is 1v1 fighting—you can block attacks, deflect, destroy enemy stances, and land critical hits with your Cursed Blade. You fall behind in dealing with mobs since deflecting multiple enemies is basically impossible. It's here that your ultimate ability comes in handy.

Executor Skills

Tenacity is the passive skill of the Executor. Surviving a status effect gives you a temporary bonus for attack power and stamina recovery. It will be applied immediately for instant-status damage such as bleeding or madness.

For lingering status effects such as poison or frostbite, you must let the status effect meter run out first before receiving the bonus.

You typically won't seek out status effects to cause this passive to trigger—it's not a good choice. The only time is if you have a Seppuku weapon or a relic that gives you self-status effects. Other than that, this passive pays you when you naturally recover from a status effect.

The character skill is the Cursed Sword. Swinging the Cursed Sword deflects enemy attacks. Deflecting successfully buffs the sword, and it deals more damage.

You can have a lunging slash, triggered by the weapon skill, as you charge, which has high damage and stance damage but drains the charge.

The Ultimate Ability is transforming into a Primordial Beast. Transforming into this Primordial Beast comes with a lot of advantages.

You can use light and heavy attacks. Both of these are your regular melee attacks.

Roar should be used when there are multiple enemies since it hits multiple enemies.

Claw Sweep is a charged damage attack that can be used on larger bosses to deplete their health quickly.

Your Ultimate meter depletes as the clock counts down in beast mode. To deal the most damage, use light/heavy attack and roar, then finish with a claw sweep before your ultimate meter is fully depleted.

Some people waste this by spamming basic attacks—always end with the claw sweep for maximum effectiveness.

Beast form also gives you a temporary HP bonus, and your lost health is restored when you shift back. However, you can die in beast form, so be mindful of your health.
